About the conference
The AquaINFRA Final Conference brings the project together one last time to share what has been built over the course of AquaINFRA: the data, services and virtual research environment developed to support marine and freshwater scientists and stakeholders working to restore healthy oceans, seas, coastal and inland waters.
The conference takes place on Thursday 5th November 2026 at Aalborg University Copenhagen, Denmark.

SEAtwins Symposium 2026
In the days leading up to the AquaINFRA Final Conference, the same venue hosts the SEAtwins Symposium 2026, organised by the SEAtwins cluster project and endorsed by the UNESCO Ocean Decade. The symposium covers the latest scientific advances in social-ecological analysis and modelling of marine and coastal areas, with a particular focus on Digital Twins of the Ocean (DTOs) and integration with EDITO.
Sessions span social-ecological modelling, digital twin oceans, biodiversity and ecosystem assessment, marine protected areas, maritime spatial planning, anthropogenic activities and citizen science. It is aimed at researchers and practitioners working in marine and coastal modelling, alongside decision-makers and stakeholders.
