The EGU General Assembly 2025 was a major success, bringing together 20,984 registered attendees from 120 countries. Of these, 18,646 joined in person in Vienna, with 2,338 participating online. Across 1,102 sessions, an impressive 18,934 presentations were delivered—56% of which were contributions from Early Career Scientists.
AquaINFRA was proud to be represented at this year’s event with a poster presentation on the Data-to-Knowledge Package (DKP), a concept developed collaboratively by project partners, who joined forces to present a practical framework for enhancing the reusability of reproducible research outputs.
The DKP goes beyond simply publishing open FAIR data and code. It includes virtual labs, web API services, and reproducible workflows, all designed to make it easier for other researchers to understand and repurpose research. Using a hydrological use case, the AquaINFRA team demonstrated how DKPs can integrate seamlessly into the research cycle and actively support knowledge generation.
The AquaINFRA team welcomes further discussion and collaboration—EGU provided an excellent platform to connect with others interested in the future of open, interoperable environmental research.
