The SEAtwins Symposium 2026 will bring together leading researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to explore the latest advances in Digital Twins of the Ocean (DTOs) and socio-ecological modelling. Organised by the SEAtwins cluster and endorsed by the UNESCO Ocean Decade, the event focuses on integrating data, models, and applications to support sustainable marine management and policy.
Taking place from 2–5 November 2026 at Aalborg University Copenhagen, the symposium will highlight cutting-edge research aligned with EU Mission goals to restore, protect, and sustainably use oceans and waters.

The event centres on the integration of social and ecological systems within marine and coastal environments. Participants will examine how Digital Twin technologies—particularly within the EDITO framework—can support decision-making, scenario modelling, and policy development.
